Rocky Mountain High Follow-up

A quick follow-up post.

My editor and I returned from our trip to Winter Park Colorado having found our future home.  Barring a last minute closing glitch we will be residents of Winter Park Colorado sometime between May 1st and July 31st.  While we settle on 4/20 we will need to find a place for my mom, a search we have already started.

In line with "My Theory" on high altitude living you should all know that our new "Home Town" is considered (per Wikipedia) the highest incorporated town in the entire US!  Leadville Colorado is disputing but what could people who likely have lead poisoning know!  Anyway I believe our new digs sit at about 9,100 feet, Barbara and I will not need that funny legal weed to get a buzz on at that height!

My last post included an article on the health benefits of high altitude living that may have had a "suspect" homey Bias.  It was also dated by several years.

Well take a peek at this headline from a 2017 released Spanish Study.

"High-altitude living decreases the risk of heart disease

A major risk factor for development of heart disease, stroke and diabetes is lower in people that live at higher altitudes; this also applies to people with a family history of these diseases"
